This two kilometre walk located on the Bogong High Plains provides a spectacular view from across the Kiewa Valley to Falls Creek alpine village.

The walking track climbs steeply through snow gums before crossing a generally flat area of alpine snow grass. Initially Parks Victoria had considered realigning the track with a longer gentler grade however this proved unfeasible due to the high conservation value of the alpine vegetation. Track & Trail were engaged to install dry stone rock steps and drains in preference to timber as not only would stone work be longer lasting but also immune to bush fire. Due to insufficient rock on site sixty bulk bags of rock (almost 30 tonnes) was flown onto the track by helicopter. Across the fragile snow grass plain rubber tiles were laid to provide a wear resistant walking surface. The lookout itself was formalised with a levelled area on the crest of a rocky knoll.
